I flew across the sea

had a family trip to the East Coast at the end of April this year. and all of the sudden i'm pumped up to update about the trip, like right now. by the way, this was my first time being on an airplane so excuse all the airport pictures. all photos are taken with Olympus EPM-1 and are non-edited. (note: you may click on the picture to enlarge it.)

 morning flight.

  welcoming dawn in the airport.

rainbow!

 gloomy weather.

toy houses.

up up here we go go.

after settling down in the city, we are headed to Bako National Park.
taking the speedboat to cross over the river and into the park.

gigantic pandan leaves.

Sarawak laksa. OM NOM NOM.

the next day, we visited the Sarawak Cultural Village, to discover the distinct cultures of each major ethnic group of Sarawak.

leng lui.

imma man. rawr. hahahaahh.

the Penan.

Chinese House.

awkward attempt for a jumpshot. and i wonder why i have no friends. tsk tsk.

failed.

  Semenggoh Wildlife Centre.

had Kolo Mee for breakfast.

Waterfront Street, an ideal place to shop for souvenirs.

leaving Kuching, evening flight.

Kuching's sunset.

and i'm home.

it was a fascinating trip. discovering the other side of Malaysia was...exhilarating. i feel it's weird to be on an airplane but i would love to work in an airport. i've read about the East Coast culture from textbooks and magazines and i've finally got to experience all of those mentioned by myself. it may not be as developed as Kuala Lumpur however it is a very beautiful and serene place to live in. i have never been out of the country but i reckon travelling within the country is just as good.

i truly adore Malaysia and her endless beauty.
